Arrived AOK!

Well it was an interesting start to the trip...was meant to fly into Bangkok but when I arrived at Heathrow airport Singapore airlines said they still weren't flying into Bangkok even though it had opened. My only option was to either re-route to Phuket or delay a few days in the hope things would be sorted. Decided to head for Phuket...what the hell, got to start some where! Landed into Phuket and got stung for the nights stay there...won't even mention what I paid, it was very little but compared to all else there it was enough to say the least! Anyway it was a lesson learnt...I wasn't parting with my Baht without a good haggle after that. The next morning I booked the bus to Bangkok...a 12hr journey was in store. The rest of the day I spent around Phuket town seeing the sights and sampling the local cuisine, not a whole lot to do there and my time was limited to venture out to some of the beaches on the West Coast...that will be done in a few weeks when I return...
